The very first Wayfinder Test goes live from the 13th to the 19th of December for PC audiences. The entire test is still under NDA, so no official news can be gained from it.

January 11, 2023
The first lore text-post for Wayfinder is released on the official website, in the form of a conversation between 
Silo and a character called Omen, which details some things about the origins of the Seekers and what the world of Evenor may have been concerned with before the events of the Gloomfall.
January 17, 2023
The second Wayfinder Test went live on January 17th and lasted until January 23rd, available for PC and PS5 audiences. Due to technical limitations regarding the PS5 and the PS Store however, only people who signed up for the beta in NA received new keys, whereas people in the previous PC test were able to carry over their keys.
February 23, 2023
During the Sony State of Play, Wayfinder had an official gameplay reveal trailer premier, showing off gameplay with Senja, Silo, and Wingrave. They also revealed the date for the upcoming Closed Beta Test, February 28th.
At the same time, several new posts on the official website went live. The first is about Wayfinder being available to wishlist on the Epic Games store. It should be noted that the game on Epic Games will not have access to the Early Access, and likely won't have access to the closed beta test.

The second major piece of news is an article more information about Founder's Packs and how players will be able to get access to Early Access, confirmation that Early Access will be in May, and a first look at some of the exclusive rewards for Founder's Pack purchasers. Even more information was given on the official Wayfinder Discord in the form of announcement posts, detailing the exact specifications of the upcoming Beta Test, including how to sign up, what to do if you're already signed up or have already gotten into a previous test, and more. It is important to note if you are interested in playing in the PC Beta and have not previously participated in any test, You will be required to sign up directly on the steam website or client. Even if you have previously signed up for the PC beta on our website, you will need to navigate to the Steam page and sign up with this new feature. PS4 and PS5 players can sign up the normal way, on the official website.

March 8, 2023
On March 8th, Airship Syndicate announced Wayfinder would be coming to the PAX East gaming convention from March 23rd through the 26th at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, with a panel to be hosted on Friday, March 24th. The booth had some Airship Syndicate and Digital Extremes members to represent the game, and included a hands-on demo of the game with the same build as the previous beta test in February.
Meanwhile, it seems an embargo was lifted on content creators who played during the beta, as many initial reviews and beta content was lifted on Wayfinder gameplay footage. These select content creators were able to capture footage and were allowed to post it to the public outside of the NDA most players were subject to, and as a result a lot more information about the game is public. High profile content creators who posted reviews about their experiences during the beta and explained some of the mechanics behind the game include IGN, Fextralife, and MMOByte.

At PAX East 2023, Joe Madureira, Ryan Stefanelli, and AJ LaSaracina hosted a Full PAX Panel moderated by content creator MTashed title 'Origin Stories: Bringing Wayfinder to Life'. The panel focused on the history surrounding Airship Syndicate and how Wayfinder came to be, how Joe and Ryan's previous works have built up to their latest title, how the design process for Wayfinder has been so far, and how they've been taking player feedback into account since their many testing phases thus far. They also went over a basic summary of what Wayfinder is as well as some of their policies and values as developers regarding content, gameplay, and monetization. Included as part of the panel were a host of reveals, included the reveal of the many voice actors who have gotten to include their talent in the game, a reveal and look at seasonal content and battle pass systems for Wayfinder, an announcement for a second Closed Beta Test coming April, and most excitingly, the reveal of the newest upcoming Wayfinder 
Venomess in the form of an animated trailer that was cut short as a teaser for the full reveal later on, when she would be available as part of the battle pass in Founder's Season 1, titled Gloombreak. A quick recap of the entire event can be found on the official Wayfinder website.
