This is a client patch for Wayfinder, numbered version 0.2 - hotfix 1. It was released on December 15, 2023.
Dev Note: We are aware defense isn't feeling great at the moment. The way our calculations work need to change. We have an entire calculation rework planned (but its a big change that touches everything so it wont be in before the holidays) the defense change we had implemented was a band-aid for the meantime and it obviously wasn’t enough. Right now max health is way better investment per point. Defense isn't effective right now unless you also have a lot of health.We are going to be looking at a few things to try to get in for the short term:
- Tuning down enemy break damage.
- We are asking for too much resilience investment to see a benefit that sacrifices too much other stats.
- Tuning Brute class and higher enemies.
- These enemies are scaling their damage too high in high level activities.
- Improving the defense scaling further.
- Players who invest heavy in defense are hitting the cap soon and wasting the extra points.
- Going to add a higher cap for higher investment.
- Add an extra passive to melee weapons that provides a flat 30% Damage Reduction for Health and Resilience.
- Melee weapon users are expected to get hit way more often than ranged and requiring them to invest mostly into health/def to survive leaves them with no stats towards offensive stats and we don't want to remove melee offensive capabilities.
We are also aware that weapon abilities are benefitting from Crit Power twice, this is due to the recent addition of Ability Power damage to Weapon Abilities.

Patch notes[edit]
- Fixed an issue where players would get stuck in the settings menu after using the Reset Layout button in their apartment.
- Fixed an issue where Golden Cache’s would fail to spawn.
- Fixed an issue where players forward momentum would stop after landing from an Aerial Light Attack.
- Fixed an issue where players couldn’t select Signal Fires unless they were aligned to the center of the screen, also they should be easier to select now.
- Fixed an issue where Corpseblooms would deal extreme amounts of damage.
- Fixed an issue where players would unnecessarily receive login queue messaging when logging in.
- Fixed an issue that was causing players to be kicked when looting certain items.
