Lord Halar is an NPC in Wayfinder. Apart from being a land-owning lord in the region, he is more importantly known as lead Arcanist of Skylight, one of the only surviving Arcane Lords of the Dominion of the Seven Winds skilled and knowledgeable in all manner of magical science. He collaborates very closely with 
Omen on matters related to the Seekers and the Wayfinders, spearheading the research on matters involving the Gloom and Echoes and other concerns; in fact, he is credited as co-creator of the Gloom Dagger alongside Omen. Lord Halar never backs down from an intellectual challenge and regularly throws himself into his work. 
Seeker Avala is his granddaughter, one of his only remaining relatives; he calls her "Avie" at times. He is regularly found in a small workshop just outside of the Beacon in Skylight.
He is a major character in a side story quest involving Seeker Avala, consisting of the following quests:
