Eventide

‘Tis the season of Eventide, a festive winter holiday full of gifts, revelry, and deep-fried gelatin. Join Seeker Avala as she searches for the scientific reason for the season, and earn a host of cosmetics and housing items so you can celebrate the holiday in style.

Overview[edit]

Eventide is the traditional winter event in Skylight.

Many different groups of refugees in Skylight celebrate Eventide differently. The Wayfinder learns a lot about the history of Evenor before the Gloom. During the event, a merchant with festive decoration and other wonderful items arrives in Skylight. Right next to her opens an ice cold portal to hidden places. Challenging fights and fun activities await everyone in Eventide.

Game loop of the event:

Collect Plunderfool Lure in the Highlands by smashing crystals or defeating enemies.

Summon Plunderfool by placing three lures and collect Traditional Contraband. This can be done as a group activity or alone, but beginners will struggle with dealing enough damage. Break damage, debuffs and crowd control can help the fight.

Open the acquired Traditional Contraband to gain Vale Shard Fragment as keys to the Eventide Vale Expedition via the icy portal in Skylight.

The Eventide Vale Expedition is a Reaver Woods style map. Complete smaller events to collect Revel Rubies which can be exchanged for goods, such as the first set accessory, the Heart of the Dark Solstice, in Raelle's shop next to the portal.

Defeating Abominus in the final encounter of the Eventide Vale Expedition provides keys to access the Winter Queen Hunt. Defeat her to complete the set of accessories with Queen's Hide Ligatures and the Evercold Eye.

Tips:

Everfrost Bombs can be used as an imbuement to make the Eventide Vale Expedition and Winter Queen Hunt a bit easier. In doubt, entering lower spheres or teaming up will help with having fun. There is no disadvantage to joining other players.

The Winter Queen Hunt is similar to the fight against Broodmother S'ilreth, but her guard can be broken by pushing spawning snow orbs into her. Focus on building these orbs up with attacks before connecting them with the spider for maximal effect.

The event is long enough to buy everything in the shop and farm the right echo slots on the desired level. Please note that the accessories level from Winter Queen Hunt is as always depending on the sphere of the hunt and their drop rates were about 1 in 30 in Eventide 2023.

All small events in Eventide Vale Expedition are absolutly worth doing and the map is filled with Memory Fragments. After the achievements and shop items are all collected, players often focus on just farming Abominus and the Winter Queen Hunt for better echo slots.
