Teryssa the Silence is a Deep Eldren shadow dancer and high-ranking leader of the Deep Eldren people. She is the leader of the Eldren forces occupying the Crucible, seeking to use the machinery left behind by the Celestial Architects to recreate the world in a form more suitable to her people, a world cloaked in endless shadow - a plot separate from that of the Precursors who otherwise rule the Deep Eldren and seek to destroy the world. To that end, she is also the true identity behind the Raven, notorious kingpin of the Shrike Syndicate. As part of a plot years in the making, "the Raven" took over the syndicate and exploited the band of thieves to harvest as much godsblood - a volatile arcanic fuel - as possible from the Westreach in order to reactivate and power the machines of the Crucible. It falls to the Wayfinder to stop Teryssa's scheme and defeat her before she destroys the world and re-originates it into a haven only for the Deep Eldren. She is the main antagonist of the Crucible arc and the final boss of the main story.
