Ryv'n the Devourer is a legendary Gloom beast, a prowling hunter who skulks the dark corners of the Gloom, marks their prey, and hunts them relentlessly. First encountered and repelled in the Repository of Knowledge in the ruined monastery of Aurelian, the Wayfinder is guided to confer with the Huntmaster of Skylight, who professes knowledge of the beast and teaches the Wayfinder to walk the path of the hunter to get Ryv'n before Ryv'n gets them. Eventually, the Wayfinder finally tracks Ryv'n to their lair deep in the Gloom and puts them down.
