Something animated by the Gloom is driving the ichor in the Pit. It's time you destroyed it.

You've eliminated the Bloodspawn, the force which was animating the ichor, and the situation in the Pit should eventually improve. In exchange, Kestrel has agreed to tell you about the Trial of Lingering Light.
