The Road To Ruin Wormwood (quest)

The Hollow Heart is a main quest in Wayfinder.

Description[edit]

Start

You must cleanse the sacred stones that will open the way to the Hollow Heart.

Active

Thanks to Graymourn and Avala, you know how to reach the Hollow Heart. But you must clease a sacred site and call on the spirits of the Frostmarch to open the way.

Clear

You entered the Heart of the Woods and studied the lines of elemental energy flowing from the Heart. Graymourn has determined that this arcane network has been infected by the Gloom—spawning a new and deadly form of corruption. Graymourn doesn't understand how Aturach could have accomplished this.

That was before the Ring of Blood proved Aturach to be more powerful than I conceived. Now, thanks to your little Seeker, I understand the source of that power.

The Reaver King isn't hiding in the Heart of the Woods. He is feeding on its power, just as he seeks to steal the light from your Beacon and the shadows from Gloom.

The Heart of the Woods is an ancient force, a spirit older than your Architects. We must learn how Aturach has it chained and find a way to break this vile connection.

In the Heart you will find large stone pillars that mark the ley lines of power flowing through our sacred land. Aturach is likely using them to channel his foul magic.

Once you find the pillars, I can study their energies through our connection. More so, I have woven a thread into your essence that should hide you from the King's eyes and spies.

Do not interrupt me again. The lines you studied are the veins of our world, carrying that power across the land. The blood of the natural world, sustaining all things.

Now those veins are choked with the essence of your Gloom. This is the source of these foul Hollows—nature twisted and consumed from within, infused with vile shadows.

How could this happen? Twisting the veins of the earth—Aturach could never have done this alone. We must learn what has been done to the Heart. Unfortunately, there's only one way to do that.
