First Awakening is a priority quest in Wayfinder.

Omen has called you to discuss something important, though she was vague about what that entails.
Clear
Omen explained the process of Awakening, which allows Echoes of weapons and Wayfinders already summoned to be used to strengthen your power. While there are limits, it is an important tool to help fight the Gloom.

My friend, please come see me. We should have a discussion regarding a unique ability. Well... perhaps "unique" is the wrong word.
Hello again, my friend. Thank you for answering my call as quickly as you could.
As you know by now, you have the ability to call forth weapons lost from the Gloom, and with my aid, fellow Wayfinders to help in your duties.
What you may not know is that you can also call to your own Echo, or the same weapon's Echo you called before. The two Echoes will feed each other, and be strengthened.
I could call myself? Or a weapon I already have?
It is not exactly you. We call the process Awakening, for it awakens you to what you could have been. Its differences will give you skills and insights you did not develop in this life.
In the case of a weapon, the parallel of itself can become closer to the legendary original, rather than a copy of a copy. In short, the weapon will have power beyond its initial limitations.
There are limits to the process, of course, but Awakening is another tool to help you overcome the Gloom of our world.
Can I do this for others?
It is good to see your mind work. Yes and no. It is possible to isolate the magic of the call and store it in a stone, so others can summon their own Echoes. However, it can be dangerous.
Wayfinders can withstand Awakening an Echo. Normal humans cannot escape their double's thoughts, and the result is conflict and madness. Use Awakening with caution... but by all means, use it.
